Bookish Update: February Reads and Book Hauls

My boys are on the autism spectrum and they have some sleep issues. Every now and then, they’d stay up for 20 hours and mess up our schedule. Our days consequently become upside down, and when this happens, one of the things I end up sacrificing is my writing time.

Since I have a paid writing gig, that gets priority when I do get the chance to open my laptop. This means that blogging and writing fiction are temporarily set aside until a time pocket here or there materializes.

Since my last post, I’d meant, of course, to post a February wrap-up of books read. Here it is from Instagram.

Just five books, but it was still a pretty good reading month for me since my goal is at least four books a month (a book per week).

On the book-buying front, however, I’ve been a tad more diligent. This is a good thing for my book collection and reading hobbies (two entirely different things) and a minor disaster for my budget and my vow to whittle down my TBR pile.

How has your reading gone this first quarter of the year? Doesn’t time fly? I still feel like the Christmas holidays just ended and I’m still floundering through January, but it’s almost April.
