Certified crazy cat lady here, so my answer’s obvious. But, really, it depends on the personality and temperament of the person. Some would find dogs more ideal (I love dogs too, btw) and others, perhaps a bird or a fish.
I’d be more interested though if you’re another cat person. If you’re not sure about being one, here’s a checklist that will help you confirm your suspicion.
- You talk to cats. Granted, I’d talk to anything, both living and inanimate, but I especially love talking to cats. I love the sound of a cat’s meow.
- You have cat hair on all of your things. I don’t even care to brush it off anymore. It’s a losing battle anyway.
- You’ll never be rich because you spend all of your money spoiling your cats. Rich-shmich. My cats are my treasure.
- You pause and make a fuss over any cat you encounter even if you already have a dozen at home. It’s a compulsion.
- You’d risk cramps, body parts going to sleep, and boredom just to not disturb a cat who gave you the honor of sleeping on you. Such moments should cherished and relished.
- You have social media dedicated to your cats. Mine is on Instagram. Let me know if you follow it from here so I can return the engagement. 🫰
As for the worst pets, it’s any kind of wildlife. It’s not that they’d make bad pets; it’s just that they’d be much happier living wild and free in their natural habitat.✌️
