My laptop has been on the blink for months now. Compound that with a series of ill health episodes, thanks to perimenopause, and I just couldn’t make time to blog.
But I’m back, even if my laptop is still with the repair guy. I’m making do with my phone and a Bluetooth keyboard.
Anyways, I just wanted to share – not so much brag since my reading goals aren’t really very lofty – that I’ve been reaching my monthly goal and even going beyond (just a book or two, nothing to put a superior sneer on about – I’m kidding! I bet that looks really ugly, so I wouldn’t even dare! :D).
What really helps in this campaign to read at least four books a month is to just give in and read ebooks as well. They work really well at bedtime when the lights are out or when I’m stuck somewhere with nothing but my phone.
So, yay for me. If you must know I’m already at four books this month, and I think there’s time to fit in two, maybe even three, more books.
Before Bookstagram, I didn’t really care how many books I read. I read a lot and I didn’t feel the need to quantify. When I was in school, however, it was kind of a thing for me and my equally dorky friends to monitor how many books we’d borrowed from the library and how many library cards we’d filled up for that school year.
I usually do a monthly wrap-up post on Instagram. If you’re interested in connecting there, please go ahead and follow me. Comment here that you did so and share your handle. I’ll be sure to follow back even if you don’t have an exclusively bookish account. 🙂
Hope to post again right away!
